The walking and biking routes were developed to aid in improving local fitness for residents and visitors, promote tourism and raise awareness of the local treasures we have in and around Cumberland, Wisconsin. Our group has worked hard to collect walking and biking trails in the area and plan to continue to improve and promote our local resources.
Local Trail Highlights:
TRESTLE TRAIL
The Trestle Trail is a groomed trail for walkers or bikers. This 1 mile stretch is a nice flat, grassy trail that extends from Beaver Dam Lake northward on the railroad right of way to Hwy B. This section is owned by Scoutland - Cumberland Area Friends of Scouting and managed by the Cumberland Area Trails Alliance group. There is a picnic bench at the south terminus and 3 newly refurbished benches spaced about 1/4 mile apart along the way. A big thank you to QuickBlast Finish Removal for the expert care of the trail benches and mowing! A two spot parking area is available adjacent to the trail at the spot where it intersects Sylvan St..
